Minimserver licence check port
Hello Simon,

I have a firewall with a default policy where everything is blocked, and I have to open port/ip for each device/application.

It's look like Minimserver need some ports to allow the licence activation updated. Could you please tell me which port I have to allow (Linux Minimserver installation) ?

Also, if there is a specific port for update, could you tell me which one ?

Thank you,
Manu

RE: Minimserver licence check port
As I understand it, you are referring to communication over the internet from MinimServer to the online MinimServer license server.

There is no specific local port for this. With the latest MinimServer update, MinimServer opens an https connection to the license server (remote port 443) and receives an https response. The local port that sends the request and receives the response is chosen at random. A firewall should be able to identify the request/response pair and allow the response through.

The same approach is used for update detection and installation.
