Index Date Format?

I have been playing around with the IndexDate format setting and have a few questions.

Here's my current setting for indexdate format: IndexDate.indexFormat={$date^|^| $origyear^^ ,

Q1: How can I add a label to the date so the results show Release Date:1957
Q2: How can I format to results of only show the 4 digit date

Attached is an example of the results I have now.

I'm not entirely sure I follow as the attached image doesn't reflect your indexDate and looks more like an album listing, but I'll try and answer your questions and if I've misunderstood anything just let me know.

If you're asking to add it to the indexFormat then:
$date^Release Date: ^

To only display YYYY in indexes, you'd use the tagOption:
tagOptions: Date.yearOnly.index
